any "christian" religion is under obligation to reject sexual conduct not approved by the Buble. instead of trying to live a double life, or continuing to be crushed because of your sexual orientation, just reject religion. You don't have to reject God, but you do have to reject the Bible. So, do it. Be gay. Enjoy it. Dare anyone to judge you. But use your thinking head and reject religion.

Scientists Warn of Rising Oceans as Antarctic Ice Melts
by bohm inthe collapse of large parts of the ice sheet in west antarctica appears to have begun and is almost certainly unstoppable, with global warming accelerating the pace of the disintegration, two groups of scientists reported monday.. the finding, which had been feared by some scientists for decades, means that a rise in global sea level of at least 10 feet may now be inevitable.
the rise may continue to be relatively slow for at least the next century or so, the scientists said, but sometime after that it will probably speed up so sharply as to become a crisis.. this is really happening, said thomas p. wagner, who runs nasas programs on polar ice and helped oversee some of the research.
theres nothing to stop it now.

US Supreme Court: Hobby Lobby wins we lose
by designs inthe old guys sided with hobby lobby today in denying birth control coverage to its female employees based on the owners religious views.

funny how the far right evangelical owners of hobby lobby didn't want to touch that one.... read judge ginburg's scathing counter argument and opinion.. www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/13pdf/13-354_olp1.pdf.

I am not supporting "faux" christians.
I don't believe in any religion.
The WT broke me of that.
I just don't believe that society should become so crippled that everybody expects free stuff all the time, and the people required to provide it dont have the right to the exercise of their own conscience.
I am old fashioned, I think freedom is a two way street.
With regard to to the government getting involved in health care, I see how the government handles everything else and I don't feel that they will do a good job. Our government is 17 Trillion dollars in debt. 45% of the people in this country are on some kind of welfare. Perfectly healthy people are on various forms of Social Security and welfare disability. Millions of illegal entrants to this country are taking advantage of "gimme" programs that cost billions of dollars. Monsanto and other companies are ruining the health value of previously good food by genetically modifying the food. People eating this crap, me included, get diabetes, heart disease and other life threatening illnesses, then we go to the government to get free pills. We have abdicated PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY.
We have become a nation of takers, and our politicians are giving free stuff to get votes.
Trouble is, free stuff is not free. Those of us working have to pay for it. I am 68 and still working.I know there is no solution to this stuff, but when you liberals run out of other people's money, you will realize that there is no free lunch.
Buy your own damn birth control. Pay for your own abortion. Put your hands in your own pocket, get it out of everyone elses pockets.
I don't meanto be offensive, although I know most will think I am, but this gravy train will come to a halt someday, and the more dependent that you are on other peoples stuff, the more difficult life will be.

Hobby Lobby is a "closely held corporation", with just 5 owners. It is not "public".
Would most of you, if you owned a business really want to be told to provide a benefit to your employees that violated your conscience?
I personally would like to make decisions on matters like that in my business. We are living in an "entitlement" society, and at the least sign that we can't force someone to give "free stuff" to us, and we might actually have to pay ourselves for something that our employer objects to, we go nuts and start wanting to intrude on other's rights.
The five owners of Hobby Lobby have rights too.
I could care less if you want an abortion. Very likely you are only killing another future liberal. But pay for it yourself.

It brings me great pleasure that I am personally mentioned in the idiots outline.
The gist of my entire 45 years of JW life was that any religions that turned to the UN had rejected the Kingdom of God. Even in 1989 they made a derogatory statement about the Catholic Church saying "....they have no less than 29 (?) NGO's associated with the UN."
For an organization that won't let you go to the "Y" for a swim, won't let you vote, won't allow their children to run for office in school, won't let your kids play sports, wont let your kids go to college.....on and on....joining with the UN to use a library is the ultimate insult. Puts me so much in mind of the fictitious story of "Jacob sod pottage, and Esau came in from the field and he was faint.....give me some of the RED there..."
He sold his birthright for a bowl of soup, and they sold out my trust in them FOREVER for a library card.
Leaving that hypocritical, judgemental, harsh, unloving, unkind, self-righteous organization was the VERY VERY VERY best day of my life.

I listen to audible books wit one ear plug in.
i usually buy westerns, like LaMour, Johnston, max brand, etc,
they are interesting enough to listen to but not so interesting that they. Keep me awake. Usually about 10 minutes and I am gone. It te ally helps when I wake upp in the middle of the night and start my frustration thinking. It brings me around to boredom again and I go right to sleep.
just a comment.

I came in on my own at 15 years old, in 1961.
left in 2005 when my wife and I learned about the UN fornication, I was 59. My wife was born in and left in 2005, she was 60.
it really has been a monumental pleasure to be free of that horrible religion.

Panthers,
I lived it.
the closest statement they made in writing was in the publication, "Life Everlasting in Freedom of the Sons of God", pages 29 and 30.
There was a chronological chart and on this chart it said, "1975-2975--1000 year reign of Christ."
on the adjacent pages, quoting from memory it said, "It would not be by chance or accident, but would be according to Gods Purpose for the 7th One thousand period of human history to run concurrently with the 1000 year reign of Christ"
please understand that I am quoting from memory, and could have a word or two wrong, but the context is spot on.
i am sure that some here have the exact quote.
i memorized that in prison in 1967-1968.
believe me, all the traveling overseers and all the assemblies were emphasizing 1975.
by the way, in 1981 they finally apologized for teaching 1975 at a district Assy and later about august or so of that year there was a one sentence apology in the WT.
Panthers, there is a hell of a lot more reasons to leave than a 40 year old false prediction of the end of the world. Get your head in the game.
